Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the independent developer who operates Deposink (“we”, “us”). By creating an artist account, or by requesting a booking through an artist’s page, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

What Deposink is — and what it is not

Deposink is booking software. It gives an artist a public booking page, collects booking requests, records a deposit policy, and handles the admin around a session: reminders, consent forms, health questionnaires, identity checks and aftercare.

We are not a payment processor and we never hold your money. When a client pays a deposit, the money moves directly between the client and the artist — into the artist’s own Venmo, Cash App or PayPal account, using the handle the artist published on their page. Deposink takes no cut of deposits and is not a party to that payment.

We are also not the tattoo studio. The tattoo, the price, the aftercare and the refund of a deposit are between the client and the artist. Our subscription revenue is separate from anything a client pays.

If you are an artist

You agree to:

  • Use your real identity and a booking page that accurately describes your prices, deposit policy and availability.
  • Honour the deposit and cancellation policy you publish, and refund deposits when your own policy says you should.
  • Follow the law that applies to your work — licensing, studio and hygiene rules, age limits for minors, health-record rules, and any obligations you have as a business handling your clients’ personal and health information.
  • Keep your account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your login and under your booking page.
  • Only use the custom booking questions and the notes fields for what they are for. Do not use them to collect data you do not need, and do not ask clients for payment details such as card numbers.

The refund record on your page is public and is generated from what happens in the product — how many deposits you refunded, and whether disputes are left unresolved. If two or more refund disputes stay unresolved for more than a week, your booking page is hidden from clients until they are dealt with. That mechanism is the point of the product: the deposit system only works if both sides play fair.

If you are a client

You are booking with the artist, not with us. Their deposit and cancellation policy governs your deposit; read it before you pay. If you need a refund or want to move your appointment, talk to the artist — they decide, and Deposink only records the outcome.

You agree to:

  • Give true information, including an honest health questionnaire. Hiding a condition or medication can genuinely be dangerous.
  • Provide your own ID and, if asked, your own selfie. Never upload someone else’s documents or sign a consent form on behalf of another adult.
  • Only upload images you have the right to share, and remember that reference and healed photos are stored in a public bucket — see the privacy policy.
  • Be 18 or over, or book with a parent or guardian who signs the consent form.
  • Treat your booking link as private. Anyone who has it can open your booking and read the information in it.

Deposits and the trust record

When a booking is missed, the artist can mark it as a no-show. Deposink then records a no-show against the email address used for the booking, and that count is shown to other artists on Deposink who receive a request from the same address, so they can set a larger deposit. This is described in the privacy policy. If you believe a no-show was recorded unfairly, tell the artist and email us.

Identity, age and health records

The product can capture a government ID, ask for a selfie to compare against it, collect a health questionnaire, and record a consent signature with a timestamp, IP address and browser details. It can also record patch tests and aftercare notes.

These features help an artist keep records — they do not replace an artist’s own checks. An automated comparison of a selfie against an ID is a convenience, not proof of identity or age, and a questionnaire is not a medical assessment. The artist remains responsible for checking who is in front of them and deciding whether a tattoo is safe.

AI features, such as a suggested quote range from a reference image or a drafted reply, produce suggestions only. The artist reviews and sends everything.

Plans, billing and refunds

Deposink is free while it is in beta. When paid plans start, the price is a flat monthly fee shown on your billing page, billed by our payment provider — Lemon Squeezy or PayPal, whichever you choose — and any free trial and renewal terms are shown there before you confirm. We take no percentage of your deposits, ever.

You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the period you already paid for ends. Billing, invoices and provider-level refunds follow the provider’s own terms. If something went wrong with a charge, email us and we will sort it out.

Acceptable use

Do not use Deposink to:

  • Submit fake bookings, use someone else’s identity, or upload documents that are not your own.
  • Impersonate an artist, or publish a booking page for services you are not licensed or allowed to provide.
  • Harass anyone, or misuse the health or identity information of others.
  • Scrape the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or interfere with other people’s use of it.

We can suspend or remove an account or a booking page that breaks these rules, is used for fraud, or is the subject of repeated unresolved refund disputes.

Your content

What you upload stays yours. By publishing it on a booking page or a review you give us permission to store it, show it to the people who visit your page, and send it in booking emails — nothing more. You can remove your portfolio images at any time; to remove a booking record or an account entirely, email us.

No warranty

Deposink is provided “as is”. We aim to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors, and statistics shown in the product (for example average no-show rates) are estimates drawn from published industry figures, not predictions about your business. Nothing here is legal, medical, financial or tax advice — talk to a professional about your own situation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost bookings, for the conduct of an artist or a client, for disputes over a deposit or a tattoo, or for business decisions you take based on what the product shows you. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Ending the agreement and changes

You can stop using Deposink at any time, and email us to close your account. We can end this agreement if you breach these terms, or if we shut the service down — and if that happens, we will tell artists by email and give reasonable notice so you can export what you need. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we will email artists and update the date at the top, and continuing to use the service means you accept the new version.
